2013 Fall Must List

Back in June, Allyssa and I put together a list of ten things we must do during the summer season! I accomplished 8 out of 10 of our “summer musts!” Ah-mazing!

We had so much fun with our summer musts that we’re back again with our fall edition. Presenting…

2013 Fall Musts with the Barn & Likes to Smile

There are 10 total musts: five are published here and five are published on Allyssa’s blog!

Allyssa: Allegiant, the third book in the Divergent series. It comes out October 22nd and I can’t wait! I already have my copy pre-ordered!

Stacey: Dollface! My Aunt is the author! Woo to the family hoo! I keep picturing a book reading with a 1920’s Flapper theme. It will be dazzling, darling!

Allyssa: Catching Fire! I loved the Hunger Games books as well as the first movie, so needless to say, I’m excited! Midnight showing, here I come!

Stacey: About Time: a comedy about love and time travel. I was hooked once I read, “From the Creator of Love Actually, Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral.”

Allyssa: Anywhere that has an amazing view of the fall foliage!

Stacey: A pumpkin patch! Preferably one selling hot apple cider and cider donuts.

Allyssa: When I think of fall, I think of Thanksgiving dinner — turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, and apple pie. Mmmm.

Stacey: Pecan Maple Pie from Bubby’s! Mouth-wateringly delicious. Promise.

Allyssa: Lots of layers! I love the look of button ups layered underneath cardigans/sweaters and paired with comfy scarves!

Stacey: I’m obsessed with scarves! I feel like an outfit isn’t complete without one.

LOVE this list of musts? Go check out Allyssa’s blog for the other five! Lots of fun awaits with one simple click.

And you? What are your fall musts? Tell me, tell me!

Until next time!

Postscript: My ultimate must is making new blogging friends! I’m finding so much joy from getting to know such an amazing group of creative people, like Allyssa. She’s become such a great friend, she’s so fun, so smart and I learn so much from her. Like how to make images that cannot be pinned! And I’m still thinking about her post on editing and refining your brand! Hope you enjoy these posts when you read the other five fall musts!

  1. CIder donuts? Such a thing exist? It sounds too good to be true…..

  2. Great list! I love going to the pumpkin patch too!

  3. How did I not know about About Time?! It looks like such a great movie!! And your aunt’s book sounds interesting! I’ll have to read it!

And thanks for the AMAZING shoutout! You’re too kind!

    • The shout-out was truly my pleasure! Thanks for all the times you’ve included my links in the newly retitled Link Love!

Doesn’t About Time look soooo good? I can’t wait to see it! xoxo

  4. We did the apple orchard / corn maze / pumpkin picking this weekend and it was just THE BEST (up on the blog this week, actually). Next up on our to-fall list is a walk through a historic cemetery near our condo and a trip to Starved Rock State Park during the peak leaf falling season! This weekend I’m having my girlfriends over for a RomCom Fall themed movie + pizza party night. So excited for everything!

    Great round-up!

    • Definitely going to have to go check out that blog of yours! In fact, I can’t wait to follow along in all the fall adventures!

RomCom themed movie night?! Brilliant!!! What movies are on deck?

  5. This year I’ll go to my first pumpkin patch ever! (can you believe that?) and that Bubby’s pie sounds amazing! I’ve walked by that restaurant a million times (walked by today) Had no idea. Thanks for the tip!
BTW: Love your list! Heading over to The Barn now…

    • How fun!! Love that you’re going to your first pumpkin patch ever! And you must try Bubby’s! It. Is. Amazing.

Thanks for loving the list! xoxo

  6. Love your lists! We have a cider mill about 40 min. away from where I live and they have amazing cider donuts. It’s a nice Fall treat or for that matter any time of the year :) Happy Fall!

    • Hi Dawn! Thanks for loving the lists! Aren’t apple cider donuts the best? YUM! Happy Fall to you, too! :)

  7. Two words…PUMPKIN PIE.

  8. There is so much about that half of the list that I love, I don’t know where to start.
Lets start with what is a cider donut?! Also, both of those books and movies! Amazing! Allegiant and Catching Fire we already on my list, but stacey your aunt’s book sounds amazing, and I am going to echo Allyssa’s sentiment of how did I not know about About Time! Looks incredible!
I love fall weather if only it didnt mean winter was coming. I just hate snow. And rain. I need to live in the desert.
Also, my fall must is Pumpkin Pie! I would trade nearly anything in the world for Pumpkin Pie!

  9. I’m adding see About Time to my must do list for fall!
