Goodreads

It’s no secret that I love to read. What seems to be an unknowable secret (at least to me) is what took me so long to sign up for Goodreads?!

A social website dedicated to readers?! HELLO! That is the place for me! Between Likes to Smile Book Club and my decision to join Allyssa in her goal of reading 50 books in 2014, obviously I need multiple places to track my progress! Plus, I love to chat about what I’ve read.

If you’re on Goodreads, I need friends! And I would love to friend you right back on the site! Please add me or leave a comment here and I’ll add you.

I’m just learning Goodreads, so if you have tips, I would love them!

Speaking of which, I read 5 (5!!) books in Mexico and have updated both Goodreads (complete with my reviews) and my 50 books in 2014 tracker.

One of those books was Dollface, the next Likes to Smile Book Club Selection up for discussion.  I hope you’ll be joining us for the discussion on February 3rd! I can’t wait to chat it out!

And you? Are you on Goodreads? What have you been reading lately? What Goodreads tips do you have for me?

Hope to see you here and on Goodreads!

Until next time!

xoxo,
Stacey

Postscript: A couple people have asked to hear about my trip to Mexico, so I’ll have that post up for you on Monday! Thanks for your interest! Makes me feel so loved! xoxo

  1. I’m a big Goodreads user and now that I’ve been using it for a few years love that I have a record of everything that I’ve read. (Though, because I work in publishing I tend not to review books.) Just sent you a friend request!

    • YAY! So glad we are Goodreads friends! Thank you for friending me. I’m so excited to see what you’ve read (and totally understand why you wouldn’t review). xoxo

  2. Love Goodreads! I just added you.

  3. Sounds like I need to sign up!!

  4. Love love love Goodreads! I find it to be so helpful in tracking not only what I’ve read but what I want to read. No more wandering around the library or bookstore trying to remember that author’s name – I just pull up the app on my phone and I can find it :)
    Enjoy!

    • I’m so excited to learn Goodreads. I’ll have to add the app, so far I’ve just been playing on the actual site. So glad we are good reads friends! xoxo

  5. We are totally on the same page today! (No pun intended!) I did a book post today too. I just freinded you on Goodreads. I don’t update it as much I should, but I’m looking forward to following your progress. It might inspire me to read even more!

    • Yes! We can read more together and gym more together! Love it! Excited to check out your book post! xoxo

  6. I was going to tell you that you needed to sign up for Goodreads, but I forgot! Adding you right now!

  7. Hi Stacey! I just added you as a friend on Goodreads. I love looking through your book recommendations. Goodreads is my favorite! I even use Biblionasium (a kids version of Goodreads) with my students! :-)

    • Hi Caroline!

Thank you so much for following me on Goodreads! I’m loving it so far! I’ll have to check out biblionasium, too!

      xoxo,
      Stacey

  8. I am not on Good Reads but I think I need to be. I honestly don’t need one more thing I have to track and up date on the internet. But It is about books so I think I need to plunge. If you have not read it yet, read Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walters. It is a great book and has it all. Also, I highly recommend Paris in Love by Eloisa James. Good luck on your 50 books. I know you will do it.

    • Hi Kara,

I held out on that one for a long time for the same reason (how much can one person juggle?). But I have to tell you, I’m loving it! I think with how much you read that you will love it, too!

I will definitely have to check out Beautiful Ruins and Paris in Love! Thanks for the tips!

  9. Glad you decided to join! I just sent you a friend request. I so want to hear about Mexico!

  10. Hi Stacey,

Loved your discussion on reconstructing Amelia. I started a 50 books in 2014 challenge this year and that book was number 21 on my list and I’ve started no 22 -The fault in our stars – John Green. I’d love to add you on good reads and see what books you’ve read that I’ve missed out on already!!!

    jess :)

    • Hi Jess!!

I’m dying to read the Fault in Our Stars!! I hope you added me on GoodReads! I look forward to being in touch. Thanks so much for leaving a note!

      xoxo
